In my feature-film-director days, I made two dark comedies: Dead Funny (1995, Elizabeth Peña, Andrew McCarthy) and Who the Hell is Bobby Roos? (2002, Roger Kabler), so I decided for my fourth RegenLife Minute to make a dark comedy.

It’s called Carbo Clean.

Carbo Clean is a piece of personal technology, something like a gas mask, that sequesters the carbon-dioxide out of your every exhale.

In reality, carbon-dioxide is one of the two “miracle molecules” from which life makes itself. The other is water. Regenerating Life explains the importance of CO2 and asks “how did carbon dioxide become the fall guy for all of our climate change woes?”

Looking at climate change from a Gaian or ecological perspective opens up a range of responses which can turn this crisis around. Maybe, we can “cool the planet, feed the world, and live happily ever after.”
