Filmmaker John Feldman and composer Sheila Silver have just arrived in London today, March 1st, to attend the European premieres of Symbiotic Earth. We feel especially happy that the film is premiering at three institutions which each held a very special and important place in Lynn Margulis’ life and career.

Symbiotic Earth premieres at Oxford University this Saturday March 3 at 1pm hosted by Voices from Oxford. Special thanks go to Prof. Denis Noble, who organized this screening with his team which included Ian Hodgson and Sunghee Kim and Hummingbird Film’s reps David Marlow and Alex Marlow. Thank you to sponsors Chelsea Green Publishing and Dan Sackett.

The Barcelona premiere on Wed, March 7 is full to overflowing with more reservations still coming in! The organizers at the Natural History Museum of Barcelona have had to add additional screening rooms for the event. Prof. Ricardo Guerrero, the host for the Barcelona screening, commented that Lynn Margulis is very popular in Spain, including in the village of his mother and ancestors, Arenas de San Pedro, in Avila. Our thanks go to Ricardo and his team including Carmen Chica, Mercè Piqueras, Rubén Duro, and others. Also special thanks to the Natural History Museum of Barcelona and Anna Olmedes, the museum director, and her support team including Marta Llimona, Lina Ubero Badia, and Gemma Redolad Gil.

The London premiere on Thurs, March 8 at 6pm is at the Linnean Society and John and Sheila will arrive back in London from Barcelona in time for that screening. Special thanks to Peter Horton of Gaia Company and the Linnean Society for this screening at this venerable institution!
